Rosemarie C. Dockery-Walsh, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at the home of her daughter in Austin, Texas after a courageously fought battle with breast cancer.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Andrew Curran Walsh, and her late former husband, Joseph Thomas Dockery. She was the daughter of the late William J. Craft and the late Mary Louise Keeshan Craft and sister of William R. Craft and Laurence A. Craft.
She was a remarkable, intelligent, ever-learning, artistic, and loving mother, caring grandmother, and wonderful great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She is survived by five children, Maureen (Glenn) Hof of St. Louis, MO, Patrick (Esther) Dockery of Pflugerville, TX, Molly (Matt) Zurek of Austin, TX, Timothy Dockery of Austin TX, and Bryan (Pam) Dockery of Round Rock, TX; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind a legacy of love beyond measure or comprehension that will be a source of our strength now and in life ahead. She leaves us with her values, lessons, zest for learning, zeal for lives fully lived, hopes and dreams that have become part of each of us as she lives in our hearts forever. As a teacher by profession, her last gift to learning is her donation of her body to science.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to SSM Hospice or American Cancer Society.
A memorial and Rosary was held October 29th at St. Williams in Round Rock, TX and her St. Louis Memorial will be held on Saturday, November 9th, at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons Funeral Home (7027 Gravois Ave., St. Louis, Missouri 63116), with visitation beginning at 10am until the time of service at 11am.
