Adolph "Joe" Joseph Kedl Jr.

Adolph "Joe" Joseph Kedl Jr. passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion to family, and a life well lived.

Joe was the beloved son of the late Adolph Joseph Kedl Sr. and Marie Kedl (nee Kleinzettel). He was the loving and devoted husband of Dorothy Kedl for over 70 years. Together, they shared a marriage filled with love, faith, and unwavering commitment to one another.

Joe was a proud United States Army Veteran, serving his country with honor and dedication. Following his military service, he went on to build a career as a City Painter, retiring after many years of dedicated service.

Joe was the cherished father of Deborah A. Kedl, Theresa (Edward) Raczynski, and Diane E. (the late Mark) Biscan. He was the proud grandfather of Megan (Keenan) Flemming, Matthew Biscan, and William (Brooke) Biscan. He was a dear brother of the late Edward (Helen) Kedl. Joe was also a beloved uncle to Edward (Donna) Kedl Jr., Craig (Cindy) Kedl, and Kevin (Nancy) Kedl.

Joe enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies and interests throughout his life. He loved football, baseball, and especially Cardinals baseball. Joe found joy in bowling, gardening, painting, bodybuilding, antiquing, and collecting. He was also a gun enthusiast and enjoyed traveling, particularly spending time in Florida, where he appreciated the warm weather and relaxed lifestyle.

Above all else, Joe cherished his family. He enjoyed working around the house, spending time outdoors, and sharing life's simple pleasures with those he loved most. An animal lover, Joe held a special place in his heart for dogs, especially German Shepherds.

Joe will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his loyalty to family and friends, his many passions, and the kindness he shared with others. His loving presence and steadfast devotion will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026, from 10:30am until 12:30pm at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 12:30pm also at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
