On May 24, 2024, the world lost a truly remarkable soul with the passing of Alice Wingbermuehle. Known for her nurturing and generous spirit, Alice was deeply loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Alice was born on April 20, 1932, to the late Albert and late Mary Emmerich. She grew up alongside her brother the late Joe Emmerich and sisters the late Lucy Meier, the late Margaret Emmerich, and the late Marie Busch. Alice was also preceded in death by her daughter the late Kathryn (Don) Allison and her granddaughter the late Christy Hays.
Alice's loving nature shone through in everything she did, from spending quality time with her family to playing bridge, golf, fishing and games with her family, grandchildren and friends. Her greatest joys in life were raising her children, a task she carried out with unwavering dedication and love.
In 65 years of marriage to her beloved husband Ronald, Alice exemplified what true love and partnership looked like. Together, they built a beautiful family filled with love and laughter. Alice leaves behind a legacy of love through Kathryn Allison’s family and her beloved children Cynthia (Jim) Lynch, Angela (Jim) Hays, Ronald Wingbermuehle, Patricia Wingbermuehle, and Alice's sister-in law Carol Nejelski. She was also the proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 21 great-grandchildren.
A visitation in memory of Alice will be held from 4-8pm on June 3, 2024, at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons South County Chapel in St. Louis, MO. A Mass will be held at 9:30am on June 4th at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque followed by the interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
