Allan Belko

September 12, 1942 — August 14, 2025

Allan P. Belko passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the age of 82. Born to the late John and Shirley Belko (née Seib), Allan was a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

He was the beloved brother of the late Susan Ruecker (survived by Rick), and a cherished uncle to Diane Bashirian. Allan shared a meaningful chapter of his life with Lynn Chasteen, the mother of his seven children: Stacey (Dave) Wellman, Brian (Liz) Belko, Wayne (Sharon) Belko, Robyn Belko, Angie Belko, Stephanie Belko, and Adam Belko. His legacy continues through his adored grandchildren—Nicholas, Connor, Logan, Hanah, Sera, Madison, Payton, and Sydney—and his precious great-grandchildren, Odin and Ivy.

Allan was a man of many passions. In his younger years, he found joy in sports like softball, volleyball, basketball, and bowling. Later in life, his love for golf became a treasured pastime. A true foodie at heart, Allan was happiest behind the grill, cooking for his family and sharing meals filled with laughter and love.

He was a devoted family man, a steady presence, and a role model to his children. Known for his meticulous nature, Allan thrived on routine and organization. He was the man behind the camera, capturing countless memories through his lens. His grandchildren will fondly remember the adventures he took them on—to the Zoo, Botanical Gardens, Grant’s Farm, the Ameren Electrical Safety Fair, and Easter egg hunts at church.

A man of faith, Allan was a proud member of St. Lucas Lutheran Church. His heart was big, his love for his family unwavering, and his presence a source of comfort and strength to all who knew him.

Allan’s life was a testament to dedication, love, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
