Barbara Irene Hill Plannett

Barbara Irene Hill-Plannett, nee Klose, entered into rest on Wednesday October 25, 2023, at the age of 73. Barbara was a beloved mother who cherished quality time with her grandchildren. Her warm and genuine compassion and selfless service won her countless friends who feel like family.  Her infectious smile brightened the day of everyone she encountered.

Barbara is survived by her husband Mike Plannett; children Renee, nee Hill, (Mel) Trotier, Joseph (Jane) Hill, and Jack (Leslie) Hill Jr.; stepchildren Laura Bauer, nee Plannett and Jimmy Plannett; grandchildren Alexander Trotier, Madeleine Trotier, Elizabeth Trotier, Ethan Hill, Nina Hill, Myka Hill, Jackson Hill, and Grayson Hill; step grandchildren Erin Bauer and Evan Bauer; sisters Marie Sharp, Kathy Wade, Phyllis Brooks, and Carol Fendler. Barbara is preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Hill Sr., her brother Ken Klose, and her parents Karl Klose and Marie Bunyan.

Barbara was a graduate of Mehlville High School, Class of 1968. After raising her three children, she went on to work as a banker before becoming a chiropractic assistant at the Wilmington Clinic, where she took great pleasure in her coworkers and patients. Barbara truly appreciated the simple pleasure of life. She found immense joy laughing and celebrating with her family and friends or swinging on the porch with her husband and dogs. She was always at peace floating on a river. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

On November 1, 2023, friends and family will gather to pay their respects and celebrate Barbara's life at the John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Homes - South County Chapel in St. Louis, MO, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. 63129.  Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. www.ziegenheinfuneralhome.com
