Leuckel, Barbara, of O’Fallon, Missouri, was born to Richard and Rosemary Thompson and was Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church on Monday, January 24, 2022, in Chesterfield, Missouri at the age of 83.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Toni Leuckel.
Barbara was the beloved wife of George Leuckel for 63 years; devoted mother of Karen (Dave) Hollman, Robin Beerman, Diane Piazza and Nikki Korte; cherished gramma of Lindsey Piazza, Griffin Piazza, George Hollman, Camryn Korte, Kendall Korte and Reece Korte; adored great gwamma of Jackson Piazza Cleary; many other relatives and friends.
Barbara was a devout Catholic. She shared an unconditional love with her family. She was a nurturing mother and a wonderful caregiver of her daughter, Toni Bug. Barbara started working as the age of fifteen as a cigarette stamper and later became a dedicated accountant that worked her way up to Vice President of Accounting. Those who were close to her knew her as a casino aficionado. When time would allow, she loved to play Super Mario and was known to be a Super Mario Master, teaching all of her grandchildren and great grandson the art of the game. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial Service will be Saturday, February 5, 2022. Doors will open at 11:00 a.m. with Service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons, 7027 Gravois Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63116.
