Benie Buster Campise

Benie Buster Campise, 82, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026. Beloved husband of Barbara Campise, nee Handlang, dear father of Bryan (Audrea) Campise, Justin (Kate) Campise, and Melissa (Chris) Seitz, cherished grandfather of Miranda, Charlie, Bella, Braedon, Lexi, and Makala, brother of Curtis Campise and Antonia “Cookie” (Scott) Campise, brother-in-law of the late Thomas Handlang, Beverly Cowen, Jerry (Laura) Handlang and Richard Handlang, uncle of Chris, Tony, Corey, Jessica, Thomas Jr., Jeffrey, Valerie, Victoria, Katie, Richard, Blake, and Emmy. He was preceded in death by his parents Sabastian and Lucille, nee Lafata, Campise. He will be missed by the host of other relatives and dear friends who knew him.

Benie was known to be a sweet and kind person who had never met a stranger. Always willing to lend a hand or talk to anyone. He worked many years as an automobile wholesaler where his personality helped his success. He and his wife where longtime and active members of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Arnold where he was a past Elder. In his personal time, he enjoyed anything with a motor including Hot Rods, Harley Davidsons, and speed boats as well as working around his home. He will be remembered fondly for his friendly smile, great conversation, and his kindness.

Memorials are appreciated in lieu of flowers to St. John’s Lutheran Church Arnold, MO or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 3517 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, MO 63101, with visitation starting at 9:30 am. Interment in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. www.ziegenheinfuneralhome.com
