Bernard "Bernie" Michael Ems

Ems, Bernard Michael passed away on Saturday September 2, 2023, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Terry Lee Ems, nee Vintorin; devoted father of Mandy (Charles) Montgomery; cherished grandfather of Gavin Montgomery; dear brother of Charles (Kathy) Ems and the late Marie (the late Bernie) Terbrock; brother-in-law to Judy. Bernie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and many friends. 

Bernie was a retired electrician with Ameren and a member of IBEW Local 1439. Bernie was a big NASCAR fan, especially of Jeff Gordon. Bernie enjoyed attending concerts with his wife, with their most recent experience being seeing Elton John. He appreciated spending time with his wife in many other ways, from traveling to simply enjoying breakfast together. Bernie was well known for being a man who would always enjoy socializing with his family and friends.

Visitation Thursday, September 7th, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South City Chapel, 7027 Gravois Ave. St. Louis, MO 63116. Funeral will be the following morning, Friday September 8th, at 10:00 a.m., also at the funeral home. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery following service.
