Betty Maurine Lee

Lee, Betty Maurine, nee Martin, gracefully departed this world on Friday, September 8, 2023. She now reunites in eternal peace with her loving husband and confidant, Charles "Chuck" M. Lee, and her adored parents, the late William "Jack" H. Martin and the late Bernice E. Martin, nee McCall.

Betty was the nurturing mother of the late Kathy E. Lee, Cynthia D. (the late Daniel S.) Tiefenbrunn, and Marty (Dianne) Lee. Her nurturing spirit extended to her cherished grandchildren, Christopher Tiefenbrunn, Alex Tiefenbrunn, Andrew (Skylar) Mueller, Mackenzie Lee, Hayden Lee, and her bonus grandchildren, Dave (Angel) Kloeckner, the late Ashley Kloeckner, Michael (Lucianna) Moore, Jake Moore, and Josh Moore. Betty's legacy further continued with her great-grandchildren, Ariah, Logan, Ethan, Denver, and Hazel.

Betty's life was a vibrant canvas painted with a palette of experiences. An artist at heart, she found joy in painting and exploring diverse artistic mediums. Crafting was another passion that filled her days with creativity. Betty's heart was as big as her love for her pets, particularly her beloved dogs, and her kindness extended to neighbors, both human and furry.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be directed to the St. Louis Senior Dogs Project, a cause close to Betty's compassionate heart.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South City Chapel, located at 7027 Gravois Ave., St. Louis, MO 63116. The funeral service will be held the following morning at 10:00 a.m., also at the funeral home, followed by interment in New St. Marcus Cemetery. Please dress casually and comfortably.

Betty's memory will forever shine brightly in the hearts of her loved ones and all those fortunate to have known her.
