Bruce James Barbour entered into rest of Wednesday October 7, 2026, at the age of 39. Precious son on Monica Ann Wells and the late Bruce Wayne Barbour; dear brother of Crystal (Maury) Rich and Nicole Barbour; beloved uncle of Christian and Cameron Bunyan and Maruice Rich; and treasured grandson of Helen and the late James Wells. Bruce is also survived by many aunts, uncles, other relatives, and dear friends.
Born and raised in St. Louis, Bruce spent many years serving his community as a dedicated employee of the United States Postal Service. His strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to those he served earned him the respect and friendship of colleagues and customers alike.
Bruce was a proud St. Louisan through and through. Among his greatest joys was cheering on the St. Louis Blues. Whether watching a game with family and friends or following the team throughout the season, Bruce's enthusiasm for Blues hockey was unmistakable and brought him countless happy memories.
We mourn our loss, but we celebrate that he is united with the Lord. May Bruce rest in peace.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to American Heart Association or National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in Bruce’s honor.
A visitation for Bruce’s family and friends to gather and share memories will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South City Chapel 7027 Gravois Ave. St. Louis, MO 63116. His 10:00 AM funeral Mass will be held the following morning, October 15, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Immediately following, graveside service and interment in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
