Carole J. Vonder Haar

Preceded in death by the love of her life, Mel, parents Frank and Luella Reinhardt, and sister Shirley Mertens. 

Mother to David (Chrissy), William (Denise), and Sandy (the late John) Boyer. Grandmother to Lindsay (Greg) Thebeau, Courtney (Jack) Barrett, Tori Vonder Haar, Melanie Boyer, and Michael Merli. Great-grandmother, great-aunt, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. 

Carole captured everyone’s eye with her beautiful smile, wonderful personality, and her frequently commented-on fashion sense. She could wear a scarf 100 different ways. And if you didn’t have a scarf, no problem—she'd give you one of hers! 

She deeply loved her family and was the best role model we could ask for. WWCD—What would Carole do? 

If there was ever a person who lived by the creed “If you don’t have anything nice to say...don’t say anything at all,” it was Carole! 

Even after her death, Carole was such a giving person and donated her body to science.
