Caroline Loretta Cooke

Caroline Loretta Cooke (nee Kennah) passed peacefully surrounded by family on January 21st, 2024.  Born to Aloysius and Irene Kennah in St. Louis, MO on June 3rd, 1940, she attended St. Luke’s elementary school and St. Joseph’s Academy.  On a blind date in 1961 she met and fell in love with William “Bill” Cooke and they married at St. Luke’s in 1962.  

She is survived by her husband Bill, children, Terri (and Tony) Allen, Bill (and Michelle) Cooke, Debbie (and Joe) Ruma, Michael (and Liz) Cooke , 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and her sisters Muriel Christman and Chris Stueck.  

A wonderful mother and loving wife, she made friends easily and brightened every life she touched.  She worked at Brown Shoe Company, Al’s Tours, Westborough Country Club, and Steger Elementary school and volunteered at Laclede Manor and Meals on Wheels.  She loved shopping, traveling, dancing, and spending time with her family.
