Emblem

Charles E. Maule passed away peacefully on Friday, August 29, 2025, at the age of 86, surrounded by his family. Born on February 8, 1939, to the late Henry E. Maule and the late Margaret Maule (née Stephenson), Charles lived a life full of music, joy, and deep devotion to those he loved.

He was the beloved husband of the late Kathy A. Maule (née McThompson), with whom he shared 34 beautiful years raising their cherished daughter, Andrea Jett (née Maule). After Kathy’s passing, Charles found love again with his dear wife Darla F. Maule (née Wortham), his soulmate and steadfast companion in his later years. He is also survived by his son-in-law Greg Jett and his bonus daughter Debbie Haynes, who held a special place in his heart.

Charles proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force and carried that sense of honor and dedication throughout his life. He was a man of many passions—most notably, food and music.

His love of music was well known. As a long-standing member of the "Twilight Singers," Charles brought harmony and heart to every performance. He also sang in the choir at Concord Trinity United Methodist Church. His enthusiasm for singing was so boundless that he would often sing over movies—much to the amusement (and occasional exasperation) of his family.

Charles was a kind-hearted man whose warmth touched everyone he met. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and song. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss his generous spirit and unforgettable voice.

Though he has taken his final bow, Charles’s melody lives on in the hearts of those who knew him. His life was a beautiful song.
