Christy Ann Lancaster

Christy Ann Lancaster, nee Tyler, asleep in Jesus on Monday January 12, 2026, at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late John Junior “Bud” Lancaster; devoted mother of Jocelyn Taylor, Samantha Rueter, and the late Michael Lancaster; cherished grandmother of Erica Lucas, Amy Lancaster, Damon Taylor, Lance Taylor, Eric Lancaster, Desiree Bourbon, Christopher Rueter, and Virginia Rueter; and blessed great-grandmother of 20. Christy is also survived by many other dear relatives and friends.

Christy was born Wednesday May 29, 1940, to eager parents Clyde Clarence and Virginia Rose, nee Walcher, Tyler in St. Louis, Missouri. Throughout her life, Christy held great love for the Lord and her family, who now carry on her legacy through the countless memories they hold with her. May she rest in peace.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in Christy’s honor.

A visitation for Christy’s friends and family to gather and share stories will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Parlors 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. St. Louis, MO 63129. Her funeral will be held the following morning, January 19, at 9:30 a.m., also at the funeral home. Entombment in Mt. Hope Cemetery & Mausoleum.
