Diane Marie May

June 24, 1950 — August 26, 2025

Valley Park, Missouri

Diane Marie May, nee Winzen, entered into rest on Tuesday August 26, 2025, at the age of 75. Precious daughter of the late Edward A. and the late Susanne Marie, nee Becker, Winzen; beloved wife of the late Edward Alton May Sr.; mother of Brett David Mouser and Edward Alton May Jr.; dear grandmother of Mac, Zac, and Riley; sister of brothers Richard “Rick” (Lori), Randall “Randy” (Cindy), Stephen “Steve” (Sheri), the late Theodore “Teddy,” and the late Daniel “Dan” Winzen; and aunt to the late Tyler, Kevyn, Ryan, Casey, Leah, Chris, Jennifer, and Ryan. Diane is also survived by many other dear relatives and friends.

Diane was born in St. Louis, Missouri as the first child to loving and excited parents Edward and Sue Winzen in the midst of sunny and pleasant Summer 1950. The warmth and golden nature of her birthday was an auspice to Diane’s love of Florida, especially St. Pete Beach. The carefree and relaxed environment allowed Diane to feel at home while also making cherished memories with family before she was met with her health challenges.

Diane is remembered for her creative and crafty abilities, especially when it came to baking. Diane’s imagination and love of sharing with her friends and family would coalesce through this artistic outlet of creating beautiful and delicious cakes. Diane was an avid BINGO player and looked forward to the excitement surrounding every new game. Her legacy is one of creativity, generosity, and the joyful connections she fostered through her passions. Diane touched the lives of many and will be missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Diane’s honor.

A visitation for Diane’s family and friends to gather and share memories will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South City Chapel 7027 Gravois Ave. St. Louis, MO 63116. Respectfully, final burial services are private.
