Daniel Murphy

Daniel T. Murphy, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Friday, January 6, 2023, at the age of 88.

Daniel is the Beloved husband of Juanita (nee Cooke) Murphy, Devoted father of Terri (Mark) Evans, Tim (Kelly) Murphy; Devoted father-in-law of Bonnie Murphy; Cherished grandfather of Caitlin (Sean) Leahy, and Erin Murphy; Cherished great-grandfather of Aiden Fitzgerald, Bridget Leahy and Quinn Leahy; Dear brother of Jack Murphy; brother-in-law of Lee Reinwald and sister-in-law, Arlene Schlueter.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents: Tim and Cecelia Murphy; a son Dan Murphy; sisters, Kathleen (Joe) Rocco; Margie (Tom) Fagan, Beth Reinwald; sister-in-law Dora Murphy,
June (Rich) Kaufmann; brother-in-law Gordon Schlueter. Daniel was an uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Daniel loved playing soccer in his youth, and never lost his love for soccer. He was scouted by the St. Louis Browns in his younger days. Daniel was a proud 31-year member of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562.  Upon retirement, he pursued his passion for art.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis, MO. 63129. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, 10:00 A.M.  at Queen of All Saints, 6603 Christopher Dr., St. Louis, MO. 63129. With Mass to follow at 11:00 A.M. Interment following Mass at Bellerieve Gardens Cemetery.
