Daniel Neels Swallow

Swallow, Daniel Neels passed away after a full day of boating on Monday June 19, 2023, at the age of 70. Son of the late George Swallow and the late Naomi “Jackie” Swallow, nee Neels; beloved husband of 45 years to Cheryl Swallow, nee Haenchen; devoted father to Christopher (Amanda) Swallow, Danielle Swallow, and Michael (Kristina) Swallow; cherished grandfather to Adalyn, Averie, Lillian, and Charlotte; dear brother of Tim (Sue) Swallow, Greg (Lisa) Swallow, and Brad (Laura) Swallow; Daniel is also survived by mother-in-law MaryAnn Haenchen, brother-in-law Steve (Bobbie) Haenchen, and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Dan was a retired Ladue Police Officer and attended Faith Lutheran Church. He was a member of Mt. Lake Hunting and Fishing League in Piedmont, MO, and enjoyed spending time at his vacation home at Table Rock Lake where he would fish, boat, and entertain friends and family. He was truly at home when he was driving his boats. Dan also enjoyed wine tastings, visiting long time friends from California, and he loved traveling to St. Pete Beach in Florida annually. Above all he adored spending time with his granddaughters.

Visitation on Sunday June 25, 2023, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons Funeral Home, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. St. Louis, MO 63129. Funeral service the next morning, June 26, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., also at the funeral home.
