Danny Ray Dyer, known to some friends as "Dan" or "Daniel," entered into rest early on the morning of Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the age of 72, in the city that cradled both his beginnings and his final days. Beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend to countless.

Danny was immensely proud of his career with the City of St. Louis Waste Department, where he served as an Equipment Operator for more than 27 years. His dedication, strong work ethic, and skill in his profession earned him the respect of his colleagues, and he genuinely enjoyed the work he did throughout his career.

Outside of work, Danny found joy in fishing, appreciating both the peacefulness of the water and the excitement that came with every catch. He was known for his unique sense of humor and had a remarkable ability to make people laugh and feel at ease. Strong-willed, determined and inspired by his own struggles that life can bring, Danny encouraged and supported those around him, always offering a helping hand or words of motivation when needed.

As a natural peacemaker, Danny valued harmony and treated others with kindness and respect. Above all, he cherished his family and friends and maintained deep connections with many people throughout his life. Friendly and welcoming to everyone he met, Danny truly never knew a stranger, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A visitation for Danny's friends and family to gather and share memories will be held on Thursday August 20, 2026, at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Parlors from 10:00 AM until his 12:00 PM funeral service. Immediately following, graveside service and interment in Concordia Cemetery.
