David J. Dancha

David J. Dancha passed away on the 10th day of August 2023, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Linus “Lynn” A. Dancha, nee Wolff, devoted father of Christine (Christopher) Tongay, cherished grandfather of Hannah (Jacob) Noah, dear son of the late Henrietta De Roin, nee Landman, and loving brother of the late Pearl Hazard, and the late Robert “Dan” (the late Dorothy) Dancha. He was also an uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

David was a veteran of the US Navy serving on the USS Piedmont AD-17. He was a retired stone cutter having worked over 25 years at Midwest Cut Stone as a member of Laborers Local 42. David later worked an usher for the St. Louis baseball and football Cardinals through Costello Guard Service.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Stray Rescue of St. Louis.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm, Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at John. L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Home, South City Chapel, 7027 Gravois Ave, St. Louis, MO 63116. Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Thursday, August 17, 2023, also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
