Diana D. Ainsworth, born on May 6, 1935, in Saint Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, in Festus, Missouri, just shy of her 91st birthday. Diana was a cherished member of her community and was known for her kindness and generosity.

Diana dedicated many of her years to her family. She was the beloved wife and best friend of the late Jack L. Ainsworth for 56 wonderful years. In addition to her enduring love for Jack, she was a devoted mother to her children: the late Terry (the late Judy) Tolley, John (Debra) Ainsworth, Richard (Ellen) Ainsworth, Kenneth (Geralyn) Ainsworth, and Joseph Ainsworth. Diana’s legacy lives on through her proud position as a cherished grandmother to 13 grandchildren, as well as a great-grandmother to 15 great-grandchildren. Adding to her family’s joy, she also had the blessing of five bonus great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness.

Diana possessed an unwavering spirit and passion for life. She was a respected member of the UAW Retirees, with her contributions deeply appreciated by her peers and friends alike. Throughout her life, she embraced her roles as a dear aunt, great-aunt, great-great aunt, and Godmother, leaving a lasting impact on many who were fortunate to know her.

Visitation for Diana will be held on February 7, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Grace United Church, located at 8326 Mexico Rd, St. Peters, MO 63376. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be conducted at the same location, beginning at 2:00 PM and concluding at 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association are appreciated.

As we remember Diana, we honor her memory and the joyful moments she shared with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed but lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
