Dianne J. Finney passed away peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the age of 84. She was the beloved daughter of the late Leonard and Virginia Voegele (née Auer), and the devoted wife of the late Earl G. Finney. Dianne was a loving mother to the late Christina Finney and the late Victoria Finney, and a cherished grandmother to Danielle Hammond and Laura Baublitz. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Jillian and Evelynn, who brought her endless joy.
Dianne was the dear sister of Janice (the late Rick) Olsen, and a treasured relative and friend to many. Her warmth, creativity, and generosity touched countless lives.
In her younger years, Dianne found joy in playing tennis and golf, embracing life with energy and grace. She had a remarkable talent for sewing and painting, often crafting beautiful doll clothes and handmade treasures. Her love for cooking and hosting holidays created lasting memories for her family, and her passion for shopping was matched only by her vibrant spirit.
A proud member of the Red Hatters and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Dianne also gave her time generously as a volunteer at Friendship Village, where she worked in the library and participated in the Train Club. She was a Campfire Leader, a seasoned world traveler, and made annual trips to Black River Lodge—a place close to her heart.
Above all, Dianne adored spending time with her grandchildren. She taught them how to bake, sew, and embrace life with kindness and creativity. She was a pillar of strength and a role model whose legacy will live on through the lives she shaped and the love she gave so freely.
Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her.
