Donald G. Shroff, a loving father, cherished grandfather, and respected member of the community, passed away on March 12, 2024, in Saint Louis, MO. He was born on June 26, 1942, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
Donald led a remarkable life filled with various experiences and accomplishments. He graduated with an associate degree in electrical engineering from Penn State and went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era from 1960 until 1964.
Apart from his professional endeavors, Donald had a passion for sports, ranging from football to hockey. He also found joy in being part of a bowling league, where he not only displayed his skills but also built lasting friendships.
Donald will always be remembered for his warmth and kindness by his surviving family members including his children Steven (Jill) Shroff, Julie ( Anthony) Morelli and Michael Shroff. He was a cherished grandfather to Megan Shroff, Allison Shroff, Brendan Morelli, and Dylan Morelli. Donald is also survived by his sisters Patricia Shroff and Kathy Poorman, as well as nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Lorraine (nee Demmy) Shroff.
The visitation service to honor Donald's life will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024 at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Homes - South County Chapel in St. Louis from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the same location starting at 9:45 AM followed by interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
