Donald John Volansky, Sr.
Fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the age of 82.
Beloved husband of Jeanne Volansky (nee Frauenhoffer); dear father of Donald Jr. (Mary), Lizabeth, Jeanna (Sean) Murphy, Daniel (Sonya), Melissa (Jake) Ellersieck; Cherished grandfather of Dorothy, Ellen, Lily, Ned, Victoria, Molly, Adam, Henry, Cecelia; brother Michael (Carol), cousin Beverly (Richard) Green; dear brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, godfather, cousin and friend.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 24, 1939 to the late Paul and Dorothy Volansky. Donald graduated from St. Francis de Sales grade school in 1953 and St. Louis University High School in 1957. He proudly served in the Army Reserve as a Medic from 1959 to 1965. Donald held a private pilot license, was an avid fisherman and upland game hunter. He enjoyed playing basketball, baseball and bowling. Donald was a fan of the St Louis Cardinals, Blues and Hawks. He was a dedicated CYC coach, Perpetual Eucharistic Adorer, and proud Teamster member for 26 years. Donald’s two main loves in life were his faith and family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 9:00am until 10:30 am at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Location, 4830 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO. Mass will follow at Assumption Catholic Church, 4725 Mattis Road, St. Louis, MO. Interment following Mass at Resurrection Cemetery.
