Donna Troy

Donna G. Troy, nee Rudden, 67, passed away on August 19, 2022. Daughter of, the late Frances E. and Julia M., nee Chartrand, Rudden, loving wife of 33 years to James Troy, beloved mother of; Daniel Troy (Maya Garnaat) and Anthony Troy (Maria Romeo), cherished grandmother of; Oliver James, Owen Joseph, and Leo Anthony Troy, and dear sister of; James P. Rudden, the late Mary M. Masterson, Christine M. Mattingly, Jane F. Rudden, the late William M. Rudden, Joseph E. Rudden, Sheila M. Schneider, Patricia M. Rudden, Monica C. Rudden, and Edward J. Rudden. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and many dear friends.

Donna attended St. Anthony of Padua grade school and high school and later received a bachelor’s degree from St. Louis University after which she spent many years in medical education. Donna loved her family, especially her grandchildren and spent much of her later years devoted to them. In her younger years, she enjoyed, biking, softball and many other outdoor activities. Donna took part in many organizations, including Al-Anon, where she formed many lasting friendships. Donna also was content spending time indoors; cooking, baking, thrifting, collecting, and crafting. She and her husband enjoyed taking road trips, going out to dinner, going to the movies, and hanging out with friends. Donna had a huge heart, was compassionate, and known to be generous to a fault. She enjoyed devoting her time to helping those in need.

Memorials are appreciated to Woman’s Safe House or Al-Anon

A memorial visitation will be held from 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Home, South County Chapel, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd., St Louis, MO 63129. Memorial services will begin at 2:30 pm at the funeral home.
