Dr. Bradley James Rowe PhD

November 30, 1970 — July 23, 2025

Bradley James Rowe was born on November 30, 1970, in St. Louis, Missouri, to parents Beverly and the late Richard Rowe. He joins his father as well as his beloved grandparents, Anna and Charles Rowe and Evelyn and James Maher. Brad is survived by his wife Kris, his children Katie and James, his mother Beverly, as well as his aunt Arlene and cousins Kim and Trevor.

Brad attended Woerner Elementary and UCC grade school. He was confirmed in the Christian faith at Redeemer Church ('84). He attended Bishop Dubourg High School ('89) and went on to obtain his PhD in Chemistry from University of Missouri-St. Louis. He was also involved in the Men's Club at both St. Stephen Protomartyr school and Nerinx Hall High School.

Brad enjoyed all things music. He was a talented, self-taught guitar player and regularly performed in a local band. He was particularly fond of Chuck Berry, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, and Muddy Waters, although he would dabble in other genres at the request of his children. Brad was talented at remembering little snippets of concerts and live shows that many people tend to forget.

Brad also made sure to pass his Irish heritage and culture to his children. He loved the Irish Rovers and Celtic Women. His fondness for music is remembered by many of his friends and family.

Among his many musical talents, Brad was also quite the squirrel hunter. Many of his days were spent in the woods and bringing the catch home to his grandmother, Anne, to make squirrel soup.

Though his life was short, his music will forever echo in the world as a reminder that he was here.

May Brad's memory be a blessing, and may he take his ease 'neath his favorite trees, which are green the whole year round.
