Edward "Eddie" A. Tschappler, born on August 3, 1952, in Saint Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025, surrounded by his cherished memories and the love that enveloped him throughout his life. He lived a life rich in humor, passion, and community, traits that endeared him to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Eddie was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, the late Lynn C. (nee Holzwarth) Tschappler, with whom he shared 31 beautiful years filled with laughter and unwavering companionship. Together, they created a home steeped in love and support, exemplifying the bond that many aspire to achieve. Eddie was also the proud son of the late Elmer and the late Goldie (nee McLaughlin) Tschappler, whose guidance and values greatly influenced his character.

As a man of many interests, Eddie's love for sports was well recognized, being a BIG Cardinals and Blues fan. His fierce loyalty to his teams never waned, and he often found joy in sharing game-day excitement with friends and family alike. In addition to his love for sports, Eddie enjoyed bowling, a pastime that allowed him to both relax and connect with others in his community, carving out a special place for himself in their hearts.

Eddie's legacy is further enriched by his role as the best brother-in-law anyone could hope for in the world to Lori Holzwarth; and he leaves behind many friends and loved ones who will forever cherish the memories they created together. The warmth of his spirit and the joy he brought into the lives of those around him will remain vivid in the hearts of all who knew him.

The community is invited to honor Eddie’s memory at the visitation on June 2, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Homes - South County Chapel, located at 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO 63129. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM, with interment taking place at Sunset Memorial Park, 10180 Gravois Rd, Affton, MO 63123.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1001 Craig Road Suite 35, St. Louis, MO 63146 or American Heart Association, 12400 Olive Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63141.
