Edward Griffith

November 3, 1942 — March 4, 2022

Edward L. Griffith, 79, passed away on March 5, 2022. Son of; the late Herbert and the late Nellie Griffith, nee Cox, Griffith, husband of Darlene Griffith, nee Roberts, father of; Bryan(Robyn) Griffith, Lisa (Jon) Mueller, Donna Acheson, Eilene (Don) Rigger-Acheson,  Melodie (Kevin) Kratochwil, and Sherri Schaefer,  grandfather of 14 , and great grandfather of 41 . He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. Edward is survived by 2 sisters Jane Ann Hartline of Carterville and Corine Cluck of Centralia and many relatives and dear friends.

Edward was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for NABISCO and later retired from TWA. In retirement he worked as an usher in the Cardinal Club at Busch Stadium. Eddie loved Cardinal Baseball and bowling. He also enjoyed to spend time with his wife and family especially at Lost Valley Resort.

Memorials are appreciated to American Lung Association.

Visitation will be from 9:30 am – 11:30 am on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. A funeral service will begin at 11:30 am, both at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Home, South County Chapel, 4830 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63129. Interment will be Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. www.ziegenheinfuneralhome.com
