Huskey, Ellis Grant of Saint Louis, Missouri, was born to Walter and Cecilia Huskey and was Baptized into the hope of Christ’s Resurrection on Sunday, September 19, 2021, in Saint Louis, Missouri at the age of 84.

He is survived by, his beloved wife of 58 years, Dianne Huskey, three (3) cherished children, Richard (Jocelyn) Huskey, Lynn (Scott) Antle and Jeff (Andrea) Huskey, seven (7) treasured grandchildren, Susan Huskey, Ashleigh Huskey, Alexandra Antle, Noah Antle, Sabrina Antle, Jacob Huskey, and Jenna Huskey.

He was a dear brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many.

Ellis was absolutely devoted to his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was a graduate of Roosevelt High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army and retired after 43 ½ years as a locomotive engineer. Ellis was a dedicated baseball and basketball coach. He loved travelling to Florida, Arizona, Hawaii, and he especially loved an 18-day bus trip he and Dianne took along the east coast. Ellis was an avid golfer. He loved God and was a man who worked hard and rose above his circumstances. He would always say, “I love God, and I know He loves me because look how He’s blessed me.” Ellis will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2021, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons, 4830 Lemay Ferry Road, Saint Louis, Missouri 63129. Service will be held Thursday, September 30, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. with the doors opening at 9:00 a.m. at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 9907 Sappington Road, Saint Louis, MO 63128. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
