Emma M. Tramel nee Simpson, 95 asleep in Jesus; devoted daughter of the late Allen Parvin Simpson and the late Zetta Jane Simpson nee Ferrell; beloved wife of the late Carl Tramel; devoted mother of Parvin (Sharon Kramer) Tramel, Nancy (Donald) Benefield, John (Linda) Tramel and Elaine (Greg) Robertson; cherished grandmother of Duane (Shannon) Tramel, Shelly (Brian) Oliver, William (Stephanie) Benefield, Scott (Meghan) Benefield, Tammy Frost, Paul (Kori) Tramel, Sam Tramel, Derek (Matthew Bialko) Robertson, Amy Hall, Rachael (Caleb) Bunch; cherished great grandmother of 14; her life was a testament to her unwavering faith and the joy and closeness she found in family.
Emma’s hands were rarely still; she was a creator of beauty, crafting delicate porcelain dolls and intricate ceramics that brought wonder to all who beheld them. Her art reflected her love for detail and the care she put into every piece.
A master in the kitchen, Emma’s homemade cakes and pies were the highlights of family gatherings, each bite infused with love and warmth. Her culinary skills were unmatched, and her dishes will be remembered as much for their flavor as for the love they represented.
In honor of Emma’s life, we will be holding a visitation at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Chapel 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. 63129 at 11:30am followed by the funeral service starting at 12:30pm. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery 1515 Lemay Ferry Road 63125.
