Erma Yount

Erma Vestine Yount 86 of Saint Louis, Missouri entered into rest on Thursday, November 26, 2020.

Loving wife of the late Ezra Yount; daughter of the late Clarence & Bessie (Sharp) Boyer and she was the sister of the late Reta, Zona, Jack, Chris, Shirley and Jerry.

Mother of Rick (Nicole) Alexander, Rhonda (Jim) Hribar, Jeff (Phyllis) Alexander, James (Tami) Alexander and Glenn Alexander; Dear grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 17; She is survived by her brother Charles (Chic) Boyer and several step/half brothers and sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and additional family and friends who loved her.

She loved her family and particularly enjoyed her time with sisters and brothers and having everyone around her.  In her younger days Erma worked as a retail clerk. After Erma met Ezra, they lived in Clubb, Missouri, near Silva (where she will be laid to rest) and loved going to festivals and listening to Bluegrass music, Ezra often joining in with the bands while Erma enjoyed visiting. Erma and Ezra where saved and baptized in the creek while attending one of the local churches.  After Ezras passing in 2009, Erma moved to St. Louis to be near family and made lots of friendships with others in the apartment community and became a very important member of Phyllis’s family where she enjoyed lots of dinners, holidays, weddings, reunions and more. She loved visits with the kids and grandkids.  She will be truly missed.

Due to COVID funeral services will be held private.  She will be laid to rest at Graham Cemetery in Silva, Missouri at 12:30pm on Saturday 12/5.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Graham Cemetery Care of Bill Despain, 3123 Wayne Route M, Silva, MO 63964.
