Florence Helen Stalley (nee Kausch)

Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Alvin Francis Stalley; dear mother of Barbara (Dan) Kovarik and Laurie (Charles Swatske) Hartig; devoted grandmother to Sara (Justin) Hennessey, Laura (Jason) Thomas, Rebecca Kovarik, Jeffrey (Lisa) Hartig, Jamie (Mike) DeLallo, and Jackie (Matt) Burress; cherished great grandmother of Jack, Luke, and Emma Hennessey; Madeline, Olivia and Nicholas Thomas; Jacob, Isabelle, Madison, and Eliana Hartig; Andrew and Owen DeLallo, and Natalie Burress. Preceded in death by her parents Michael J. and Anna C. Kausch (nee, Reiter). She is survived by her brother, Michael (Patricia) Kausch Jr., as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Florence was known to be very independent and worked for many years as a tax preparer and helped her late husband operate Mike Kausch & Sons. She and Al enjoyed over 71 years of marriage together and were members of the Seven Holy Founders Catholic Church. Florence had a love and appreciation for animals and the outdoors, enjoying spending time “In the country” at their property in Jefferson County. In her free time, she enjoyed playing tennis or cards and dominoes with her friends. She was also known to enjoy a glass of wine and a good book. Florence, the Treasurer of Grantwood Village & on the Tree Board, will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Catholic Charities, Masses, or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Chapel, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. St. Louis, MO 63129. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, November 10, at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church, 4725 Mattis Rd., St. Louis, MO 63128. Procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in Sunset Memorials Gardens, St. Louis, MO
