Fred P. Bardenheier

Fred was Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on September 24, 2026. He was the beloved son of the late Dr. J. Phil Bardenheier and Ruth Frances Bardenheier (née Freeman); cherished husband of Cindy A. Bardenheier (née Pomirko); dear brother of the late Frank Bardenheier (the late Rose), Dr. Jean W. Bardenheier (Anke), and the late Mary Sherblum (the late Carl) (née Bardenheier). He will be lovingly remembered by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins, as well as neighbors and friends whose lives he touched.

A man of deep faith and service, Fred was a proud supporter of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, St. Louis Province, and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. He graduated from St. Louis University High School in 1965 and earned his degree from Saint Louis University in 1969.

Above all, Fred treasured his beloved wife, Cindy. Together they shared 48 beautiful years of marriage filled with love, faith, and companionship. They were devoted parishioners of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church for 45 years and most recently members of Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church.

Fred found joy in life's simple blessings. He loved cooking, especially baking bread, and had a passion for music. One of his favorite pastimes was listening to audiobooks with Cindy, particularly mystery and thriller novels. His warm spirit, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to family and faith will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at Saint Lucy Parish, 5800 Oleatha Avenue, on Thursday, October 1, 2026, beginning at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred. Memorial contributions are appreciated to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
