Obituary

Gloria June Zenk, age 102, of St Louis, passed away peacefully on Feb 14, 2026. 

Born in Red Bud, Il to Leslie and Opal Haynes she was preceded in death by her brother, Gene Haynes; grandson, Jacob Schaffrin; great grandson, Jack Johnson; and beloved husband of 59 years, Walter Zenk. 

Gloria is survived by her sons Stephen (Melissa Moulton) Zenk, Lawrence (Priscilla) Zenk, and daughters, Leslie (Patrick) Wells, Marilyn (Lonnie) Iannazzo, and Donna Schaffrin. Her 18 grandchildren and 21 greats were a constant source of pride and joy in her life. 

A homemaker for 29 years, she began a second career as a Mary Kay beauty consultant in 1974 building lasting friendships and touching countless lives. A devoted member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ and active member of Daughters of the American Revolution, she lived a life of grace, resilience, kindness and generosity leaving behind a legacy of love that spans generations. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A visitation for Gloria's friends and family to gather and share memories will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Parlors, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. St. Louis, MO 63129. Her funeral service will be held the following morning, March 2, 9:30 a.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 5508 Telegraph Rd. St. Louis, MO 63129. Immediately following the service, interment in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, alongside her late husband, Walter.
