Denzel, Helen C., of Saint Louis, Missouri, was born to Walter and Ann Hofheinz and passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 10, 2021, surrounded by family at the age of 85.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 54 years, Gene N. Denzel, her sister, Mary Heberlie, her brother, Wally Hofheinz and her brother-in-law, Charlie Denzel.
She is survived by, two (2) devoted children, Wendy (Brian) Solovic and Michael Denzel, five (5) cherished grandchildren, Brendan (Jesse Cureton) Solovic, Emma Solovic, Matthew Solovic, Claire Solovic and Noah Denzel, one (1) brother-in-law, Jerry Denzel, one (1) sister-in-law, Jane Denzel, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Helen adored her family and loved and treasured the moments she was able to spend with each of them. She was a record-breaking canoeist, avid gardener and loved the outdoors. She enjoyed painting and sewing. When time would allow, Helen would like to go hiking and camping. In the quiet of the day, she enjoyed reading and putting together jigsaw puzzles. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
