Helen was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, where she found joy and purpose in her faith. As a proud member of the Lady Sodality, she dedicated countless hours to volunteering at church functions, always offering a helping hand and a warm smile to those around her.
Born and raised on a farm, Helen learned the values of hard work and compassion early in life. She lovingly helped her mother care for the animals, looked after her younger siblings, and found joy in the simple pleasures of baking bread in the family kitchen. These early experiences shaped the nurturing spirit that defined her entire life.
Helen later worked at a shoe factory, where her diligence and dedication shone. In June of 1962, she married the love of her life, Louis, and together they shared 19 beautiful years of marriage until his passing. Their love was a testament to faith, partnership, and enduring devotion.
After Louis’s passing, Helen continued to pour her heart into her work and family. She became a talented seamstress for a children’s boutique, where her creativity and care touched many. Above all, Helen was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy came from caring for her children and later babysitting her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Helen had a deep love for nature—especially gardening, flowers, and birds. She found peace in her garden and wonder in the beauty of the world around her. She cherished family vacations, holidays, and weekends spent surrounded by those she loved most.
Helen’s legacy is one of unwavering faith, boundless love, and selfless service. She leaves behind a family who adored her and a community who will miss her deeply.
