Jack O. Jacobs, 89, St. Louis County, Feb 23, 2026. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Irene Jacobs, brothers Donald, Frank “Bud” and Richard Jacobs, his wife Jody Jacobs (Durnell) of 60 years. He is survived by his daughter Jackie Clayton, son Frank Jacobs (Susan), grandchildren, Shane McKinney (Angie), Michael McKinney (Carly), Alysha Dixon (Lee), Daniel Jacobs (Devin) and Bradley Jacobs (Diin) and great grandchildren, Gabby, Liam, Stella, Gracie, Jack, Sawyer, Bodhi, and Donnie.
Jack was a 70 year member of IBEW Local #1. He served as an officer for 25 years, as an executive board member, vice president, and president before retiring in 1998. Besides being active in the IBEW, Jack was active in the South County Labor Club, Tesson Ferry and Concord Democratic Club. He was elected a delegate to the 1992 Democratic Convention.
Jack was always perceived to be a quiet person, but when he talked, he held your attention. He loved his family and went to great lengths to always take care of what needed to be done. He was loved by many and will be missed by family, friends and the IBEW.
