Jaime Lynn Shorman, born January 9, 1978, in Watertown, New York, to the late Catherine Ringler and James Shorman, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly at her home in Barnhart, Missouri, on September 21, 2025.
Jaime married the love of her life, Reginald Huber, in 2002 in St. Louis, Missouri. Together, they raised their family in Carthage, New York, before retiring and settling in Barnhart. She was a devoted mother to Tyler Shorman (Jenna), Hunter Reff (Jessica), Vilicity Huber, and Vivian Huber, and a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren who adored her.
Jaime worked for many years as a dental assistant, receptionist, and office manager at the practices of Dr. Amandeep Arora. She took great pride in her work and the friendships she built along the way. She was also a member of Grace Episcopal Church of Kirkwood, where her faith and community brought her strength and fellowship.
Always full of energy and life, Jaime loved traveling—especially cruises—and rarely passed up the chance to attend an event or concert. (Her most memorable? Guns N’ Roses.) At home, she enjoyed relaxing with countless episodes of Judge Judy. She lit up every room she entered with her witty remarks, contagious laugh, and warm personality.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved Aunt Sandy. She will be deeply missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings Renee, Summer, and Craig, cousins Desiree and Derek Scott, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
In accordance with Jaime’s wishes, she will be cremated, and her ashes spread in the ocean. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 28th, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Carthage Elks Lodge, 511 Fulton Street, Carthage, NY 13619.
Those who loved Jaime will remember her humor, her heart, and, of course, her insistence that she was “only 23.”
