James "Jay" Horst

James “Jay” Richard Horst, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, on 11th March 2023, at the age of 83.

Son of the late Richard and Lovena (nee Casady) Horst, beloved husband of Katherine (nee Luntar) Horst, devoted father of; Joe (Ronda) Horst, Matt (Alysia) Horst and the late Carol Schilling, cherished grandfather of; Meredith Horst, Madeline Horst, Keegen Horst, Carolyn Horst, Kate Horst, treasured brother of Ron (Mary Ann) Horst, Richard (Cathleen) Horst. He is also survived by many other dear relatives and friends.

Jay was a veteran of the US Army, and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Arnold. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, playing poker and bridge, and exploring whilst driving. Jay loved playing golf, watching sports on television and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play the sports they love.

Memorial Mass will be held at 10 am on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2300 Church Rd. Arnold, MO 63010, with visitation beginning at 9 am. Interment in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. www.ziegenhienfuneralhome.com.
