Houston, Jana Nicole, of Oakville, Missouri, was born to AJ and Darlene Houston and passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the age of 55.

She is preceded in death by her loving and treasured grandparents, Hazel Brooks, Doris Chandler, and Lt. Col. MV Cooper.

She is survived by, her cherished mother, Darlene Houston, her beloved father, AJ Houston, dear sister, Angela Clark, devoted nephew, Blaine Clark, many other relatives and friends.

Jana was known for living a life of gentleness with a quiet determination and for excellence in every endeavor. She loved her family and friends and the time she was able to spend with them. Everyone that knew Jana knew she was a big fan of hats. Jana earned two bachelor’s degrees, one in History and the second in Political Science at Middle Tennessee University. She was in the Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society. She received the Jack Turner Award for excellence in International Studies. Jana served her country as a member of the United States Navy where she received the award for Professional of the Year. She loved to travel domestically and internationally. She went on mission’s trips to St. Petersburg, Russia with Shoes for Orphan Souls. Jana was a hospitality volunteer at Crosspoint Church. She was a talented leader of the decorating committee at work and was exceptional in creativeness and execution. Jana loved fresh vegetables from their family tower garden as well as squash and potatoes in potato bags. Jana loved to share and teach others about the benefits of green smoothies, Young Living product and would conduct classes when time would allow. We hope it brings you all comfort to know, Jesus was Jana’s Savior, and she knew where she was going for all eternity. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
