Obituary

Janet R Black, 90, passed away peacefully Friday September 25th, 2026. A faithful mother of four, married to Don R Black for 59 years and a woman of faith in Jesus Christ..

Born in St. Louis Missouri in 1936 to Emil & Ruth Winkler and sister to John Winkler (Judy) and James Winkler (Kathy).

Survived by her children Calise Egan (daughter Darci), sons Kevin Black (Karen), Keith Black (Wendy) and daughter Kathryn Ayres (Dan). In addition survived by her grandchildren: Jessica Clark (Jeff), Broderick Lawson (Lindsey), Audrey Frame (Lauren), Donovan Lawson, George Black (Cassidy), Korinne Lawson & the late Alexander Black; and six great grandchildren.

Janet lived as a woman of faith and service to God. She prayed fervently. That included friends, family, strangers and her caregivers at the end. She loved her family and was always there to help others. Whether it was watching kids or grandkids, planning events or simply helping someone move she was always willing. Janet had a great sense of humor, loved to travel with her husband Don and spending time at Lake of the Ozarks and Florida.

She will be missed by her friends and family but will always be in our hearts.

Rest in peace mom.
