Janette Marie Wyatt
Janette Marie Wyatt, daughter of Harold A. and Fern J. née Doster Wyatt was born March 13, 1948, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. On November 13, 1955, she was baptized at Emmaus Lutheran where she attended its parochial elementary school and was confirmed on April 15, 1962. In 1966, she graduated from Lutheran High School South. She later briefly attended Meramec Community College.
Following graduation, she entered the employment of Schaeffer Manufacturing, a grease and oil petroleum company, where she worked as an order entry clerk. She remained there her entire career until retirement at age 65 in 2013.
In August 1980, Janette, along with her mother, Fern, and her stepfather, Rev. Arnold Suehs, became communicant members at Peace Lutheran, where her membership since has remained.
Janette is survived by her longtime caregiver and friend, Donnita Jordan, her step-sisters, Connie Fortnam, Cindy Buckley, and Leah Moses, along with her cousins, Roger Holland, Joe (Dianne) Holland, and Joyce (Ed) Straughan, alongside other friends, relatives and acquaintances.
Relatively good health was enjoyed by Janette until a residential caregiver became necessary shortly after retirement. By 2014, Donnita became her caregiver and steadfastly has remained her diligent and faithful helper since that time. In 2019, Janette became a resident at Chestnut Rehab and Nursing where she remained until her passing on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 7:08 a.m. She attained the age of 75 years, 10 months, and 13 days.
