It is with saddened hearts that Jeffrey “Jeff” Louis Davis entered into rest suddenly on Friday November 7, 2025, at the age of 70. Devoted Pops of Andrew “Andy” Davis and Jennifer Stracke; cherished Papa to Christian and Novaya; dear brother of Diane Davis-Glore and Dan (Tiffany) Davis; precious son of Geneva (Bush) Davis and the late Murel G. Davis; treasured uncle of Elliot (Veronica) Glore, Brody Davis, Brittaney Davis, Brooklyn Davis, and the late Jason Glore; blessed great-uncle of Lylah Davis, Tyber Davis, Alyssa Howard, Lorili Glore, Madison Glore, and Ryder Glore. Jeff is survived by many other dear relatives and countless friends.
Jeff was born, bringing in the beautiful St. Louis autumn, to delighted parents Murel and Geneva Davis in September 1955. He attended Holy Innocents Catholic Grade School, a foundation for his education and faith. Jeff’s education continued at St. Louis University High School before he furthered his studies at St. Louis Community College – Forest Park and St. Louis University where he graduated with his nursing degree.
Jeff’s drive and intelligence ultimately led his career to that of a Physician Assistant, a calling where his knowledge and presence helped many find health and peace. Most recently, his work led Jeff, a lover of nature and all the wonders of our natural world, to work as the medical director with the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony.
Although Jeff touched infinite lives through his career, his true passion was music. He loved to write and play music, and Jeff cherished sharing his love with his children, encouraging them to make beauty and joy from thin air. Jeff’s love for music and family created a legacy filled with invaluable memories with Jeff plucking away on his guitars.
Jeff’s legacy lives on in other ways as he is remembered for the love and respect he held for nature and the memories held of him riding horses through scenic landscapes. When not riding horses, he could also be found enjoying time winding down the road on his Harley or enjoying time on the ice, skating and playing hockey. No matter what the vehicle, Jeff was certainly moving forward. Jeff has, again, moved forward to be united with the Lord, and we mourn our loss but celebrate his peace and the fulfilling life he made and shared. Jeff continues to live through his indescribable spirit and the countless memories made. May he rest in peace.
Jeff’s visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Parlors 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. St. Louis, MO 63129. His celebration of life will be held the following morning, November 17, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to Arnold VFW Post 2593 in Jeff’s memory.
