It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the passing of Jewell Blunt, "Julie," as her friends knew her. She passed unexpectedly on December 20, 2021, in Oakville, Missouri at the age of 72 years. Julie was born on August 18th, 1949, to Benjamin Petroski and Helen Louise Eubanks in St. Louis Missouri where she grew up. She attended Cleveland Njrotc Academy and furthered her education taking numerous college courses and earning many certifications while raising her only beloved son, Brian Turner. In 1995, she married the late Gerald Blunt and they spent 15 beautiful years together. Julie was an accomplished woman who worked in a variety of careers including business administration, traveling, and becoming a successful small business owner of Premier Packages and White Rabbit Dye Company.
She was a widely read, bright, and a compassionate woman who loved her family, friends, and all her fur babies. Her love for animals was apparent by her dedication to animal rescue and care. One of her greatest passions was dancing and being an active member of the dance community. She loved to travel and was fortunate to have toured the world. Her lush garden and pond were a joy she always delighted in sharing with her family and friends. She treasured life and held on to it with grit, grace, and hope despite hardships in her last years. We will miss her dearly. She is survived by her sister; Joanne, brother; Jeff, and her son; Brian Turner, who will continue to care for all her beloved animals she leaves.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to
her GoFundMe
memorial page to help her family and provide continued support for her pets and home through this painful and difficult time.
