Joel Heintz Justus

Joel H. Justus, passed away on Saturday, April 15th, 2023. He was the son of Melvin and Marguerite, nee Warman, Justus, beloved husband of the late Barbara Justus, nee Johnson, loving father of Julie Mankunas and Mark Justus, cherished grandfather of Danielle Mankunas and Cole Mankunas, adoring great grandfather of Grayson, Colton, Pax and Griffey, dear brother of Darryl (Jackie) Justus.

Joel was a retired Sheet Metal worker and proud member of Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 36. He was a graduate of Cleveland High School where he participated on the swim and dive team. He obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. After high school he attended Washington University.  He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and was a pro fisherman. He enjoyed sports especially baseball and hockey, and he was a lover of jazz music.

In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20th, 2023, from 4 - 8 pm at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons County Chapel, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis, MO 63129. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 21st,

2023, at 2 pm, also at the funeral home.
