Hartmann, John Adolph, 91, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Thursday, September 29, 2022.

John was born to Mary (Kaelin) Hartmann and Adolph Hartmann on Dec. 16, 1930. Married Betty (Brasche) Hartmann March 21, 1953, the love of his life. Started working at family grocery store as a child and loved baseball and his friends. He served in Korea in the Army as a medic. In 1955 started a family with his firstborn, Donna (Hartmann) Hoven and in 1957 his second daughter Sherry (Hartmann) Flaskamper was born. His son-in-law’s Dennis and Bill. He worked as a sheet metal worker until retirement in 1992. He was active in church and sports as coach and ran the school sports program at IHM. He loved bowling. After retirement he and Betty enjoyed traveling around the world. They have 5 grandchildren, Lynn (Tom), David (Becca), Dan (Alyssa), Debbie & Dylan (Taylor). 11 great grandchildren, Ellie, Bryce, JoAnna, Owen, Henry, Ethan, Vladamir, Dahlia, Harper, Liam, and Sofia. He was always ready to help friends and family.

In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Louis Children's Hospital.

Visitation: Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS FUNERAL HOMES, 7027 Gravois Avenue (63116). Mass: Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 11:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
