John Mundwiller

Mundwiller, John L. John, fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer. John will be remembered fondly by his wife, Gloria, his son, Christopher (Ashley Gieseking), his sister-in-law, Janet Shull (Dennis), and niece, Kathryn Brennan. John was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Mundwiller, and his mother-in-law, Mabel Driska. He leaves behind numerous extended family members and dear friends. John was raised in Our Lady of Sorrows parish. There he served the Alumni Association, and enjoyed his time organizing the parish parade and working at "George's Dogs" at the picnic each spring. John was also a proud graduate of Saint Louis University High School. He remembered fondly his time spent there and served the school as President of the Alumni Board. He graduated from the University of Missouri - Rolla with a degree in civil engineering, and was an active member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. John never met a stranger and was a friend to all. He loved to "work the crowd" and tell a good joke - he had "a million of them."
