Joseph Charles Graf entered into rest on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at the age of 69. Preceded in death by loving wife Ann Elizabeth Graf; daughters Jennifer and Barbara Ann; sister Cheryl D'Harlingue; and parents Lucile "Ann" and Jospeh L. Graf. Survived by precious daughter Klynn "Kay" and Kasey Graf; treasured grandson Caleb Graf; dear nieces and nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and many dear friends.
Joseph was born on March 31, 1956, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to parents Joseph L. and Lucille “Ann” Graf but now leaves behind a legacy of compassion and love that touched the lives of many. Even before even graduating high school, Joseph felt a calling to the medical field, working at Mount St. Rose Sanitorium. Throughout his career, Joseph dedicated himself to serving others as a paramedic throughout the entire St. Louis area, embodying the spirit of dedication and courage that comes with such a calling. His unwavering commitment to helping those in need highlighted not only his professional abilities but also the kindness that flowed from his heart.
Before continuing fully on his meaningful career in emergency medicine, Joseph proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he learned the values of discipline, respect, and service that would guide him throughout his life. It was during these formative years that he cultivated a deep sense of camaraderie and loyalty, qualities he would carry into his relationships with family and friends.
Above all, Joseph cherished his family. He reveled in the laughter and the simple moments spent together, making memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. Joseph understood the importance of family bonds, nurturing them with love and support, making every gathering a cherished occasion.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or Backstoppers St. Louis in honor of Joseph.
A visitation for Joseph’s family and friends to gather and share memories will be held on Thursday January 29, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. Until 8:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Chapel 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. St. Louis, MO 63129. His funeral will be held the following day, January 30, at 12:00 noon, also at the funeral home. Inurnment in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
