Joy Olivia Meuser

Joy Olivia Meuser passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at the age of 87.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer, and Helen Trutsch.  Joy is survived by her beloved husband Edward Fred Meuser with whom she celebrated 65 years of marriage this past June 21^st, she is also survived by her loving daughter, Denise Anderson, along with her grandchildren, Barclay (Randi), and Bryan (Kayla); in addition, Joy was blessed with great-grandchildren Cole, Quinn, Eero and Hayes, along with her dear sister, Carol (George Chase).  Joy is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Joy was an accomplished cook, seamstress and homemaker.  She enjoyed playing the piano, tennis, volleyball, biking, and square dancing.  She organized a domino group and dinner club.  Together with Ed, she enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. as well as to Australia, New Zealand, Alaska, Panama Canal, Switzerland, and Germany.  Joy was a devout Lutheran who was active in her church as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher and was a member of the church choir, along with The Peace Pinochle Club. Joy will be dearly missed by many.

Visitation to be held on Monday, July 17, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Chapel, 4830 Lemay Ferry Road, with Funeral Service immediately following at 11:00 a.m.  Interment at Park Lawn Cemetery at 12:15 p.m.
