Joyce Evers Huelsmann

Joyce E. Huelsmann, nee Evers, passed away peacefully on Friday May 17, 2024, at the age of 78. Reunited with her parents the late August and the late Ellanora, nee Huhmann, Evers; and siblings the late Irene (the late Fred) Mueller and the late Robert Evers. Survived by beloved son Anthony (Leann) Huelsmann and loving sister Helen (the late Dan) Wells. Dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Joyce was a retiree of St. Louis University School of Nursing after dedicating 47 years of care and time to the establishment. An avid reader, Joyce could be found in her free time with her nose in a book and with her mind growing with fascination and knowledge. She also loved to travel, and embarked on many journeys and cruises, especially with her sister, Helen. As a born and raised St. Louisan, Joyce is also remembered for her love of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.

Joyce will be missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to a cause of the donors’ choice.

Joyce’s visitation will be held on Tuesday May 28, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South City Chapel 7027 Gravois Ave. St. Louis, MO 63116. Funeral Mass will be held the following morning, May 29, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with a visitation at Church held 1 hour prior to Mass. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery following Mass.
