Kenneth V. Boyer
St. Louis – Kenneth V. Boyer, dear husband of the late Kathleen (Finnegan), died on Tuesday, February 14 in St. Louis.
Born July 25, 1938 in St. Louis, MO, Kenneth served in the United States Navy.
He spent the early part of his career working in the auto parts industry as the Owner of Rock Hill Auto Parts. He then went on to work as a Deputy Sheriff for St. Louis County. In his free time, Ken enjoyed spending quality time at “The Ranch,” his hunting and fishing trips, and heading to Fairmont Park for the horse races on Tuesdays. He especially enjoyed weekly Sunday breakfasts with his family.
Ken took pride in his family, and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Ken is survived by his children, Timothy (Fran) Boyer, Stephen Boyer, James (Mary) Boyer, Gary (Tammi) Boyer, and Lynn (Bill) Sloan; his grandchildren, Nicole, Genna, Andy, Michelle, Izzy (Justin), Danielle, Jonathan (Katie), Thomas, Michael, Kelly, Will, Anna, and Joey; and great-grandchildren, Theodore, Jack, and Camden. He was preceded in death by his siblings Jeanette, Carol, Peggy, and Bill. He was a cherished brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, friend, and neighbor.
Words cannot describe how greatly Ken’s presence will be missed in the lives of his loved ones, but his legacy lives on through them. They all find peace knowing he is reunited with Kathy, the love of his life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
